Today, 29th March, restrictions that have been governing our way of life since the beginning of the year will begin to be relaxed as set out in the Prime Ministers’ ‘Roadmap out of lockdown’. Following the success of the re-opening of schools, on Monday 8th March, and the extensive testing that has taken place in the community and schools since then, restrictions will be relaxed.
From today, you can:
- meet outdoors in a group of 6 or a group of any size from up to two households
- take part in formally organised outdoor sports with any number of people
- take part in any childcare or supervised activities outdoors for children
- take part in formally organised parent and child groups for u to 15 attendees (children under five not counted in the number)
In response, Shaun Bailey, MP for Wednesbury, Oldbury and Tipton, said, “I want to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone for following the rules. Because of our collective action, it is now safe for groups to meet and sport to take place. I know how important this will be for mental health and support, and I hope everyone enjoys themselves responsibly within these new parameters.”
