Today, April 12 2021, outdoor hospitality and non-essential retail, amongst other venues, have reopened to the public. Restrictions have also been lifted on domestic overnight stays and indoor leisure venues, including gyms (with conditions).
Full details of the Prime Minister's Roadmap can be found via the link below:
The conditions to reopen safely have been met. Vaccine deployment continues successfully across the UK, with 89% of over 50s across Sandwell having had at least their first vaccine. Vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations and deaths in those vaccinated. Furthermore, current infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS, and new variants of concern have not fundamentally changed the Government's assessment of the risks.
Non-essential traders will therefore return this week to Oldbury (Monday to Saturday), Wednesbury (Tuesday, Friday and Saturday) and Great Bridge (Wednesday and Sunday) Markets. Further details on the opening times of the markets can be found below:

Shaun Bailey, MP for Wednesbury, Oldbury and Tipton, commented, "I know it will be a huge relief to many small businesses across Wednesbury, Oldbury and Tipton that they can reopen. I urge everyone to lend their support by going out for a pint or dropping into their local shops. I certainly will be visiting the pub very soon, and I look forward to visiting many small businesses across the three towns during the summer."
A list of Black Country pubs with beer gardens is available here.
