On 17 September; Shaun visited Harvills Hawthorn Primary School, in Wednesbury; to discuss challenges the community faces with the school's Headteacher, Joanne Sheen.
Shaun was pleased to see how the school is working together with parents to promote healthy families and direct those who need it to local community facilities. Shaun was particularly impressed with how Joanne and her senior leadership team maintain a community link beyond the Primary School.
Shaun was also interviewed by four Year 6 pupils (pictured) who asked him many detailed questions on how he got into politics and what support Shaun can offer to set up a Family Hub for the local area.
Shaun will be supporting the pupils and staff in helping secure funding for the Family Hub, so that Harvills Hawthorn can continue to benefit the community.
