The student of Great Bridge Primary School had a fantastic time travelling by train to London to have a tour around the Palace of Westminster.
Following the tour, the children participated in a workshop outlining the role of an MP in a representative democracy.
I really enjoyed meeting with the students and listening to their interesting and incredibly poignant questions that they had in stall for me!
We discussed the day-to-day life of an MP, including the committees that we sit on, the process of making laws, and how I split my time between my Constituency and Parliament.
One of my favourite things to do as a Member of Parliament is to meet with the young voices of tomorrow. So, it was great to see them visit my place of work in Parliament!
